Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers make sense of sport, movement and shared play in city life. A strong proposal has one clear idea and a useful reason for readers to care.
What we are looking for
Pitch evergreen explanations, comparisons, thoughtful histories, habit ideas or guides to a particular kind of outing or activity. Topics might explore how to make a group game easier to join, what to consider when carrying kit across town, or how a public space changes the way people play.
Make the pitch specific
Tell us the proposed angle, the central point, the intended reader and how you would develop the piece. Explain what makes the subject distinct from existing coverage. We favour useful, grounded ideas over broad claims, promotional copy or advice that depends on specialist assessment.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page and select the editorial question option to send your pitch. Include any relevant writing samples or source notes in your message. Please send a proposal rather than a finished article unless we have agreed otherwise.
Movement should fit the city, not fight it
A little planning and a good shared space can make sport easier to return to. We look for useful starting points, not perfect routines.
